Not sure where to go? Here are some of my favorite lakes to fish for Bass!

Mille Lacs Lake is a premier, world-class smallmouth bass fishery, often ranked among the best in the US for both numbers and giant, 20-inch-plus trophy fish. The lake features expansive rock reefs, gravel shorelines, and boulder flats where smallmouth are caught throughout the summer, with peak activity in 6 to 26ft

Lake Minnetonka is a premier Minnesota bass fishery known for producing big largemouth and quality smallmouth, with tournament-winning bags often exceeding 20 lbs. The 14,000+ acre lake offers diverse, heavily weeded, and structural environments (docks, rocks, deep humps).

The Minneapolis Chain of Lakes (Bde Maka Ska, Harriet, Lake of the Isles, Cedar Lake) offers accessible, high-quality urban bass fishing for Bass, especially from late spring through early fall. Productive areas include docks, vegetation, and rocky points.

North and South Center Lakes in Chisago County, Minnesota, offer excellent, high-pressure fishing for largemouth bass, with North Center often noted for better abundance and South Center for quality panfish. Anglers find success using white spinnerbaits, topwater lures, and jigs near sunken islands, docks, and shore.

Buffalo, is a popular, accessible lake known for offering opportunities to catch largemouth bass, along with other species like small mouth, situated right in town. Fishing is best during spring and early summer in shallow, vegetated areas, transitioning to deeper structure later in the season

Forest Lake in Minnesota is a premier, high-traffic destination for largemouth bass, featuring1,100+ acres with three distinct basins, abundant vegetation, and healthy deep-water weedlines. Prime fishing occurs from late spring to early fall, with success on docks, submerged islands, and reed beds.

White Bear Lake in Minnesota offers excellent largemouth bass fishing, particularly in the summer when they inhabit heavy weeds, lily pads, and deep, 15–20 foot weed lines. Key strategies include using jigs in thick vegetation, or using deep-diving crankbaits and soft plastics on submerged humps.
